We’re off and running (or hiking... your choice!) into the New Year! Thank you for checking out our second issue of WDSN. We’re beyond excited to be on this journey with all of you. Let’s make it a year to remember!

This Issue is All About Motivation
Finding it, using it, and (most importantly) keeping it! Not always easy, I know. But don't worry, I've got a simple solution for you. Ready for it?
Here it is: START ACTING MOTIVATED. That’s it. Simple, right? Whether you want to practice more, hit the gym more often, or crush your goal of reaching a certain weight, it all starts with this step.Â
Want to be rich? Start acting like you already are.
Want to be in better shape? Start acting like you’re already a fitness model (minus the 5 AM workouts… for now).
Want to be more social? Start acting like a social guru who never says "no" to a party.
Want to be a champion? Start acting like you’ve already got the trophy on your shelf.
You get the idea. Try this next time you're feeling down: just start acting happy. It's like magic. You’ll find your attitude shifts, and suddenly, you're wondering why you were feeling low in the first place. It's all about faking it until you make it… and hey, you might just make it a lot sooner than you think!
Motivation in Action: A Dance-Off Scenario 🕺💃
Let’s break it down with a fun little scenario. Imagine two people with the same goal:
John is going on a cruise in a few months and wants to learn some dance moves to impress the other guests on the ship.
Jim is dating a ballroom dancer and wants to learn so he can wow his partner at an upcoming event. (No pressure, Jim!)
Both have four weeks to prepare. So, who’s going to learn faster: John or Jim?
If you said Jim, you’re probably right! Jim is extremely motivated because he doesn’t want to disappoint his partner. He’s going to show up early, stay late, take notes, practice in his kitchen, and even start watching YouTube videos like he’s studying for a final exam. Meanwhile, John might be happy to show up for a couple of lessons a week and just call it good.
Find Your Dance Hero
Here’s a little secret: Imitation is the highest form of flattery! So, find your dance hero (yes, someone who makes you want to swoon with envy), and study their moves. Watch videos of dancers in the style you want to master. Learn their technique, their style, their flair. Soon enough, you’ll be dancing like them—but with a little bit of your own personality sprinkled in.
And who knows? Maybe someday someone will be imitating your style! Go get ‘em, Tiger! 💪
