THE BEST WAY TO PREDICT THE FUTURE IS TO CREATE IT

This has always been my favorite quote — and it still drives me today. I’ve followed this advice throughout my entire career, and I continue to live by it. Yes, even now, With years of experience behind me, I’m still energized by the work and loving every minute.

So, when you catch yourself saying you’re not ready — not ready to step onto that competition floor, to turn professional, to open that dance studio, or to start until you lose those extra ten pounds — stop right there. You’ve already lost that moment! There is no perfect time or perfect place. The time is now — today, this very minute. From this moment on, you can decide and jump into whatever project or goal you’ve been putting off.
Follow the three C’s: CHOOSE — COMMIT — CREATE.
1. CHOOSE. Choose yourself first. Choose the dream that keeps tugging at your heart. Every achievement starts with a single decision — the moment you stop doubting and start believing. Don’t wait for permission or the “right time.” When you choose, you take control of your direction, your purpose, and your future.
2. COMMIT. Once you’ve chosen, commit with everything you’ve got. Commitment means showing up even when it’s hard, even when the results aren’t instant. It’s the difference between wishing and winning. The world rewards consistency — not perfection. When you commit fully, the universe starts moving with you.
3. CREATE. Now it’s time to create. Build, move, dance, write, teach — whatever it is that makes you come alive. Creation is the proof of your courage. Don’t aim for flawless; aim for real. Every step forward, every small win, every imperfect try — that’s creation in motion. And that’s how you shape your own future.
When you say, “I’ll do it later,” what you’re really saying is “It’s not important enough right now.” But the truth is, later never comes. Life doesn’t wait for us to be ready — it keeps moving, changing, challenging. Every moment you hesitate, someone else is out there taking that step, learning that skill, building that dream. Don’t let fear of imperfection rob you of progress. Progress doesn’t come from waiting — it comes from starting.
You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need the perfect outfit, the perfect plan, or the perfect timing. What you need is momentum. Once you take that first step — however small — everything begins to shift. Confidence builds from action, not from thought. And soon enough, you realize that the act of doing is what shapes you into the person you were waiting to become.
So, whatever it is — starting a new project, trying a new style, teaching your first class, or just believing you still can — do it now. Choose your goal, make the Commitment, and Create your path forward. Don’t wait for motivation to show up. Be your own spark! Remember, the only real failure is not trying. The future isn’t waiting — it’s already being written, right here, right now… by you.
So let's Recap....
THE THREE C’S: YOUR ROADMAP TO ACTION
CHOOSE- Choose yourself. Choose the dream that won’t let go of you. Every achievement begins with a single choice — the moment you decide that your time is now. Don’t wait for approval, for courage, or for the stars to align. When you choose, you declare to the world: I’m ready.
COMMIT- Once you’ve made your choice, commit with your whole heart. Show up — even on the tough days. Commitment isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being present. It’s about doing what you said you would do, long after the mood you said it in has passed. That’s where growth lives — in the follow-through.
CREATE- And finally, create. Take that choice and that commitment and bring them to life. Build, move, teach, dance, dream — just do. Every action you take, no matter how small, is a brushstroke on the canvas of your future. Don’t wait for the masterpiece to appear; create it one bold step at a time.
Because in the end, it’s simple: You don’t find your future — you create it.
So stop saying “later.” The time is now!
